Fads & Gossip is my contribution to the pop culture echo chamber.

I needed a place to ask the eternal question: "Is Anna Nicole still dead?"

Rather than subject my beloved readers on more serious sites to my opinions of the latest antics of Britney Spears, Paris Hilton or Tila Tequila, I'll write them here.

Rather than muck up my political commentary with comments on O.J. Simpson, Mel Gibson or Barry Bond's latest run-ins with the law, I'll comment here.

If I think the latest fashion is beautiful, sexy, classy or ridiculous, this will be the place to find out.

I'll likely comment on all the usual topics, hopefully with a unique perspective, but I'll also be looking for the unusual and interesting. The things that didn't seem important to Perez and Company. And I'll be watching for fads and trends in pop culture that may or may not be celebrity inspired.
